This season isn't kind to the Jacksonville Jaguars. They are currently one of the worst teams in the league with a 3-8 record. Their losses have snowballed through the weeks, and they've turned from a playoff favorite to a top pick candidate for next year's draft.

Just a year after turning into a contender, the Jaguars find themselves on the ground once again.

Starting quarterback Blake Bortles is one of the most often ridiculed players right now. He is often a target of jokes and criticisms, and yesterday Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe joined the trend.

In his tweet, Sharpe stated that the Jaguars should get six half drank Gatorades and two dozen worn jock straps. It is a tear on the Jags quarterback's value as he is having another difficult time this season.

Bortles have taken snaps for the Jaguars for five years now. His 24-48 starting record isn't impressive, but he has shown flashes of his brilliance in 2015. That year he passed for 4,428 yards and 35 touchdowns, both career highs.

The former 3rd overall pick's status as the team's long-time starter has not been secured yet. The Jaguars might look the other way if he continues to struggle on the field.

He has retrogressed so far this season with 2,572 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 11 games played. The Jaguars' loss to the struggling Bills seemed to be the final straw in Bortles' horrific season.

Backup quarterback, Cody Kessler will start against the Indianapolis Colts next week to replace the struggling Bortles. Talks of trades for him have loomed, and it may be a good step for his career if he wants to bounce back.
