Well, I suppose Jake Paul can consider himself legit now. The Youtuber-turned Boxer has signed a multi-fight deal with Showtime Sports and in the process, is heading down the same path as legends of the sports like Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, per ESPN’s Marc Raimondi.

It’s unknown at this point who Jake Paul’s next opponent will be, but based on the amount of smack he talks, there shouldn’t be any problem finding a fighter who will step in the ring with him.

Paul made headlines earlier this month after getting in an altercation with Mayweather at a pre-fight press conference for his brother Logan, proceeding to steal Floyd’s hat. That resulted in Money Mayweather’s bodyguards giving Jake Paul a black eye. Paul has also called out Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz on social media, with the Irishman clapping back on a couple of different occasions. Tyronn Woodley also publically voiced how badly he wants to destroy Paul.

He’s currently 3-0 in his boxing career, beating a fellow Youtuber, former NBA player Nate Robinson, and Ben Askren, who once fought in the Octagon. While none of his oppositions carry much experience in the ring, this new deal is a very important next step to eventually fighting more established boxers.
