Utah Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell had high praise for the effort that his teammate, Rudy Gobert, put forth in Thursday night's 121-115 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

Mitchell led the Jazz to victory, scoring 28 of his 35 points in the second half alone. However, were it not for the hustling efforts of Gobert down the stretch, the game could've had a different ending.

“Those hustle plays by Rudy really sealed the game. You can say what you want about my scoring, or Joe, but at the end of the day it came down to Rudy making two big plays. That's why he is who he is and that's why we rely on him,” Mitchell said, via ESPN.

With the Jazz holding a two-point lead in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter, Gobert hurled his 7-1 body towards the baseline to save a loose ball. Impressively, he managed to flick a pass over to Bojan Bogdanovic for a three-pointer before falling out of bounds:

“That was as good a play, as impactful a play as anybody's made all year,” Utah coach Quin Snyder said.

With time running out, Gobert sealed a victory for the Jazz with a block on Blazers All-Star Damian Lillard, who was making a driving attempt:

Gobert was omnipresent in the paint, and his ability to defend in switch scenarios was a key factor in Utah's win. He logged 36 minutes, scoring 16 points on 7-of-7 shooting, 15 rebounds, two assists and one block.

The Jazz have won six of their last seven games. They'll look to keep their momentum rolling on Saturday, when they'll face off against the L.A. Clippers inside the Staples Center.
