Utah Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell has been putting his summer to great use. He is currently on a streak of random acts of kindness that have unintentionally gone viral.

Donovan's latest deed entails yet another class act; this time involving a young girl battling cancer.

As the caption on the photo claims, Mitchell's small act of kindness and generosity goes such a long way for a child that has gone through the worst of times. The pair of basketball shoes Mitchell gave to Maya was most likely just another pair of the dozens he had lying around. However, to the young cancer patient, it is an absolute bright spot to an otherwise unfortunate situation she has found herself in.

This is not the first time Mitchell made headlines for his compassion, as just last week, another post went viral when the 21-year-old decided to cover a random person's phone repair bill.

Both instances did not warrant a humble brag from Mitchell himself, as he tried to be low key about it by not sharing his deeds on his typically active social media pages. Instead, his authentic acts of compassion were shared by other people who witnessed them.

Mitchell and his genuine kindness is a breath of fresh air in a busy offseason that has been characterized by the millions of dollars spent on player contracts. Though he may not have taken home the Rookie of the Year award last season, he should be in the running for NBA good guy of the year.
