Utah Jazz teammates Donovan Mitchell and Joe Ingles engaged in a friendly Twitter back-and-forth on Monday.

A fan mentioned several Jazz players in a message on Monday morning, expressing how much she misses them. Joe Ingles actually saw this note and decided to quote tweet it with emojis of agreement. Mitchell chimed in as well, taking a friendly jab:

Ingles responded with friendly jab of his own, seemingly making light of the recent rumors that fellow Jazz teammates Mitchell and Rudy Gobert have a beef brewing:

Mitchell tested positive for the coronavirus soon after Gobert became the first player to test positive. There were rumblings that Mitchell was upset with Gobert over this, something the Jazz guard seemingly confirmed during a recent appearance on “Good Morning America.”

Utah is hoping this will all blow over, and this Twitter exchange shows Jazz players are trying to remain in good spirits. Mitchell and the Jazz were enjoying a fine season before the coronavirus suspension. In fact, at 41-23 overall, Utah is currently holding the No. 4 spot in the Western Conference standings.

For Mitchell, in particular, this has been his best season in the league. The third-year shooting guard has made 63 appearances with the Jazz this season, racking up averages of 24.2 points on 45.3 percent shooting from the field (36.4 percent from beyond the arc), 4.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.0 steal in 34.4 minutes per outing.

The hope is this NBA season will resume and the Jazz will be able to return to the court to finish out their season strong.
