In the weeks heading into the 2017 NBA Draft, much of the talk surrounding Lonzo Ball has centered around things away from the court.

Philadelphia 76ers special advisor Jerry Colangelo is now the latest to weigh on the topic at hand telling everyone at the Carlin & Reese show that he doesn't like the people around the former UCLA product.

This is clearly an indirect shot at LaVar Ball, who has been a prominent figure in the media over the last couple of months. His antics and statements have made airways creating conversations regarding him becoming a distraction for his son.

Teams are now having to consider the potential impact that he may have on Lonzo and his decision-making once he enters the NBA. In fact, there have been a few teams that have voiced their concern about his presence moving forward.

It has now even factored in the Lakers' decision-making process involving Lonzo ahead of his workout next week. Things could get quite interesting for Ball as the 76ers own the third overall pick in this year's draft. He had previously voiced interest in the possibly working out for Philadelphia.

This could see him possibly fall down to the fourth or fifth spot to either the Phoenix Suns or Sacramento Kings. It's hard to imagine the 19-year-old falling that far, but the scenario exists.

Ball is coming off a strong freshman year at UCLA where he led the nation with 7.6 assists per game while also breaking the school's single-season record with 274 assists.
