Le'Veon Bell has had a rough first season with the New York Jets. With disappointing production and nagging knee issues, his first year with Gang Green simply has not gone as expected.

Brian Costello talked with head coach Adam Gase about the running back's availability ahead of the team practice. In spite of initial reports saying that he wouldn't be participating, he clarified that he will be putting the running back through limited reps.

The confirmation of Bell rejoining Jets' practice came on the back of MRI results showing no structural damage to his knee. While the Jets are hopeful that he'll be able to play, Gase is not going to get any hopes up for Jets fans.

“It’s kind of just one of those things. He’s trying to work through it,” Gase said, per the New York Post. “He’s trying to fight through that stage of, ‘what’s going to happen when I really go?’ I know he’s been trying to do that on the side when he’s running and things like that, non-football stuff. I think he’s doing that. It’s just about having the confidence to do it within the play.”

Bell has notched 415 yards and a touchdown on 125 carries. He has also been producing decent receiving numbers at 242 yards and a receiving touchdown.

Bell wants to lead the Jets to a victory over their neighbors, the Giants, in Week 10. The Jets will need him to be in top shape if they want to have any chance of that happening, and it seems like he has a good chance to be ready to go by kickoff.
