The 2021 NFL Draft was headlined by two very different quarterback prospects in Jacksonville Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence and New York Jets' Zach Wilson.

Lawrence has been seen as a generational talent long before his NFL debut and has been a name familiar to even casual football fans for years now. Wilson wasn't as heralded before joining the Jets, rising from a relative unknown status to become a sought-after prospect from BYU.

But with both QBs being selected at the top of the draft, it's hard not to compare the two. Zach Wilson would rather keep things separated, though.

Via Jets website:

“We both have different situations, different teams,” Wilson said following the Jets' Thursday's practice about finally going up against Trevor Lawrence. “One thing I learned through combine training is it's not like me against him. We both can have success.”

“I think all of us have heard about Trevor since almost high school,” the Jets QB continued. “He's had a different journey than me, for sure. It's tough to obviously come from nothing in my situation, but I think it's almost harder to come from his situation, where no matter where you've been, people have labeled you as the best.”

There's obviously a ton of mutual respect between the two. While neither Trevor Lawrence nor Zach Wilson are having a dream season by any stretch, there's still a lot to be excited about for both ahead of the Jets-Jaguars clash.
