New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson wasn't just the runner-up among players selected during NFL draft. Many considered him the second star within his own family behind his mom Lisa Wilson, who many grew infatuated with on draft night.
However, Zach Wilson clearly isn't a fan of the attention that his mom continues to receive. The Jets rookie was asked about the issue in a radio interview by WFAN Radio Host Craig Carton a few days after the draft. (via TMZ Sports)
“Yeah, it’s not my favorite for sure,” Zach Wilson said on the attention his mom was receiving. “I like to keep her out of the spotlight. She’s an awesome lady and I love having her support.”
Now months after the NFL draft, Zach Wilson's mom Lisa spoke out about her son being uncomfortable with her getting less than savory messages or comments stemming from her Instagram account. She admitted that he has indeed asked her to delete her social media accounts, even offering her hard cash to do it. But Lisa Wilson has revealed why she refuses to do it, and her reason is definitely admirable.

Zach Wilson's mom has developed her own social media presence apart from her son, where she aims to motivate and inspire women. Instead of letting the unwanted attention get to her, she'd rather channel it into a platform that can help others. Zach can't be mad about that, right?
