Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams won't be reunited on the football field quite yet, but the former Green Bay Packers teammates still connected ahead of the Week 10 matchup between the New York Jets and the Las Vegas Raiders, via Ari Meirov.
Davante Adams posted the picture with Aaron Rodgers on his Instagram, as the legendary Packers QB-WR combo spent some together ahead of the Week 10 battle between their two teams in Las Vegas. Rodgers is still out with an Achilles injury, while Adams has been slowed in recent weeks by shaky quarterback play under benched veteran Jimmy Garoppolo and now rookie starter Aidan O'Connell.
Could Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers play together again?
It wouldn't be surprising if Rodgers and Adams found a way to connect somewhere down the line and become teammates once again. The Raiders were adamant about Adams not being available at the trade deadline, but his massive contract may need to come off Las Vegas's books if the team truly wants to start fresh and rebuild, whether that be under interim head coach Antonio Pierce or another candidate this offseason.
The Jets have a star young receiver in Garrett Wilson, but they've shown no hesitancy in the past to pair Rodgers up with his former teammates (Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, etc.) and push chips in to try and become a Super Bowl contender. While those plans were put on pause due to Rodgers' injury, this should be an eventful offseason for the Jets as the front office looks to build around Rodgers moving into next season.
