The Philadelphia 76ers were swept by the Boston Celtics on Sunday in Orlando, and now enter the offseason with a plethora of questions. Chief among them might be the status of head coach Brett Brown.

Brown has led the Sixers to three consecutive playoff appearances and a pair of series wins. Philly also came within one period of reaching the Eastern Conference Finals last season.

However, there are questions as to whether the Sixers are underachieving, and Brown might have to face the music this offseason.

Sixers shooting guard Josh Richardson offered an interesting quote following Sunday's loss to the Celtics.

Richardson said Brown is a “good guy” who “means well,” but he also suggested this Sixers team lacked accountability throughout the season (per Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey).

Granted, Richardson hardly outed Brown as a lackluster presence on the bench. Still, it is worth wondering whether Sixers general manager Elton Brand will pursue other coaching options.

Philly never really got the ball rolling this year. The Sixers struggled throughout the regular season, and finished the seeding games as the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Sixers had an uphill battle against the Celtics, given Simmons was ruled out for the playoffs. But they laid an egg against a Boston team that lost Gordon Hayward in Game 1.

Speaking of accountability, Richardson would do well to taste some of his own medicine. Richardson was shooting below 40 percent from the field and 34.8 percent from the three-point line for the series entering Sunday's game, and proceeded to shoot just 2-of-10 from the field in Game 4.

It remains to be seen how the Sixers will proceed this offseason. But perhaps both players and coaches will be forced to look inwardly as they prepare for next year.
