Juventus are hoping to beat the competition to sign the United States attacker Christian Pulisic. The American has been surplus to requirements this summer after not being in the plans for Chelsea’s future.

According to the reports from ESPN, Pulisic was initially approached by AC Milan. The American’s former Chelsea team-mate Olivier Giroud was trying to court him. However, it is now reported that Juventus are now in the driver's seat to sign Captain America. The Chelsea attacker has also been linked with a move to Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Although Chelsea are only demanding £20m, Pulisic could offer more than what he has done since his move to Stamford Bridge in 2019. The left-footed attacker never got a consistent run of games under Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel during his time in London.

The 2022/23 season can be considered his worst in a Chelsea shirt. Pulisic made 30 appearances for the club, scoring just one goal and registering two assists. Out of those 30 appearances, he started only 10 of those games.

Juventus has parted ways with World Cup winner Angel Di Maria this summer. Now, they would hope to secure Pulisic as his ideal replacement. With just one year left on his deal at Chelsea, the American would be tempted to leave Stamford Bridge.

After all, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has already said that his priority is to reduce the wage bill before getting transfers done in the summer. Alongside Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Mason Mount are also linked with moves away from the two-time European champions.
