For the past decade, basketball fans around the world have debated who the better player is: Kobe Bryant or LeBron James. The discussion was reignited when Michael Jordan chose Bryant over James due to the number of championships.

As Bryant is one year removed from his 20th season with the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James has been battling the Golden State Warriors in the last three NBA Finals. Kenyon Martin, who played for five teams from 2000-2015, responded to Jordan's comments on UNDISPUTED:

During Martin's time in the league, he played against both future Hall of Famers, but primarily Bryant in the 2001 NBA Finals and 2009 Western Conference Finals. With the 15-year veteran playing against the five-time champion during his prime, it is not surprising he would take Bryant, who is considered to be the closest player to Jordan.

With Kyrie Irving's future uncertain with the Cleveland Cavaliers, there continues to be speculation about James signing with Bryant's former team when he becomes an unrestricted free agent next year. Armed with two max contract slots, James could team up with another superstar like Paul George and play with the team's promising young core.
