Ketlen Vieira was not messing around after beating Miesha Tate at UFC vegas 43. The Brazilian found herself in an excellent spot in the bantamweight division.

Ketlen Vieira spoke at the UFC Vegas 43 post-fight press conference and reaffirmed her desire to be the best. She proved herself against a big name.

“That's what I'm here for — I'm here to fight the best,” Vieira said through an interpreter. “Respect my skills.”

Miesha Tate was an opportunity to prove herself against a former champion and a big name. Vieira did just that as she outboxed her opponent and won almost every round.

“I've always dreamed about being in a main event against a legend,” said Vieira. “To be able to live that moment and get a victory, I don't have words to express.”

There appeared to be some sort of disconnect between UFC bantamweight Ketlen Vieira and her coaches. They were pushing for her to pick up the pace and use her boxing advantage.

It wouldn't matter though as it was clear who the better fighter was. UFC Vegas 43 was the Brazilian's opportunity to prove that she wasn't a stepping stone for anyone, not even a former champion.

It all respect thought after the UFC main event. The Brazilian had nice things to say about Tate and even hopes they can train together in the future.

“I'd love to have the chance and opportunity to train with her. She's a legend,” Vieira said. “I look up to her.”

Added Vieira: “Miesha Tate is a world champion. She's one of the best fighters in the world.”
