Kevin Durant was extremely proud of what Team USA accomplished in Rio over the summer winning a gold medal at the Olympics.

So proud, that the newest member of the Golden State Warriors is rarely seen without his newest hardware.

Apparently, Durant takes his gold medal everywhere and is always wearing it. Most recently, he was honored during the Washington Redskins Monday Night Football game for his accomplishments in the Olympics. He was of course down on the field with the medal and it didn't go unnoticed by his Team USA teammates.

Via CBS Sports:

“Well KD had his on at the Monday Night Football game last night,” (Draymond) Green said. “And we still have our group chat, and we all talked about him like, ‘Dude, give it a break.' Go put it up somewhere. What are you doing? Everybody knows you won it, KD. Give it a break.”

Green and other Team USA teammates have been shaming Durant so much about this that KD finally stopped wearing the medal so much.

Here's a clip from Green's appearance on Conan from a few nights ago:

Team USA players had a great time in Rio this summer, that's for sure. Part of it was because of the success on the floor but they enjoyed the experience overall as well, taking in the sights and bonding together.

That includes light-heartedly ripping each other for stuff like this. But at the end of the day, KD is just proud of what the team accomplished so it's unlikely he'll stop wearing that medal any time soon.
