Las Vegas Raiders rookie wide receiver Henry Ruggs III will not play in the team's Week 3 matchup with the New England Patriots.

Ruggs was a game-time decision ahead of the team's Monday night victory over the New Orleans Saints, though he did suit up. However, the team has listed Ruggs as “Out” on the latest injury report.

The first-round pick was a limited participant during Thursday's practice, and he did not participate on Friday.

Ruggs will register the first inactive of his pro career as the Raiders hope to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Las Vegas might also be without two of their top offensive weapons, as running back Josh Jacobs and tight end Darren Waller were listed as questionable. Meanwhile, veteran offensive guard Richie Incognito was recently placed on injured reserve.

This is a tough time for the Raiders' offense to fall victim to injuries.

The Patriots lost a thriller to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2, but they racked up 464 yards of total offense, and Cam Newton looks explosive.

Newton threw for nearly 400 yards and rushed for a pair of scores against Seattle after rushing for two touchdowns in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins.

New England offers a stern test for a Raiders defense that has already allowed over 800 yards from scrimmage and will be without linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski yet again.

Las Vegas will need to move the ball and put up points to stay undefeated, but Derek Carr and Co. will have to do so without the speedy Ruggs.
