KFC released a trailer for a console back in June but fans and players thought it was merely a joke from the fast-food giant. However, KFC has proven to be true to its word with the official release of the KFConsole. The announcement of the fast-food gaming console followed the release of a themed gaming console which released back in November. The KFConsole allegedly sports a built-in chicken warmer which is perfect for those long gaming sessions.

Bud Light shocked the world in a bizarre marketing move back in November. The company released its own “next-gen console”  in a parodic bid to take part in the ongoing console wars. Bud Light pushed through with their gaming console to raise money for charity and as far as silly corporate marketing stunts go, it’s one of the best moves this year.

Kentucky Fried Console?

The year is just about to wrap up but there’s clearly no shortage of crazy events going on. KFC teamed up with Cooler Master to create a 4k 240FPS gaming console. There are no details regarding its release date or intended price. Mark Cheevers, KFC Head of PR, expressed his delight at his company’s gaming achievement.

“Moving forward from our initial teaser campaign earlier this year, we’re so pleased to finally give the fans exactly what they wanted; making the KFConsole a reality.”

The release of the KFConsole is a great respite from the savage console wars. We’ve seen Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft locked in bitter combat for years. It’s unlikely for the console to release in time for Christmas this year but we at least have something to look forward to. If you’ve wanted a console that could heat your chicken then the KFConsole is right for you. No one expected this kind of move from a titan of the fast-food industry but this may just be the beginning of a long line of strange company-themed gaming consoles.

Hopefully, Sony restocks PlayStation 5s in stores so we won’t have to look elsewhere for home gaming consoles.
