The Sacramento Kings are hoping All-Star weekend finds its way to Northern California soon.
According to James Ham of the CSN Bay Area, team president Chris Granger and the Kings are pushing hard to claim hosting rights to the 2020 NBA All-Star game.
The Kings can boast of the brand new Golden 1 Center that has yet to debut as a reason they deserve to host the events.
The city of Sacramento has never hosted an All-Star weekend before and this would be their first, if approved.
The league has not determined where the prior years' event will take place in 2019, so the Kings have to remain hopeful until they move to the front of the line to find out if the league agrees with the idea.
