Sacramento Kings big man Dewayne Dedmon met Portland Trail Blazers star Carmelo Anthony at the rim to swat his two-handed flush.

Early in the second quarter of the Blazers-Kings game on Wednesday, Anthony easily got past his defender with a nifty spin move. But as he rose up for the dunk, Dedmon met him in the air and came up with a clean block.

Anthony was recently named NBA Player of the Week for the sixth week of the 2019-20 season. This has boosted his confidence, but against Dedmon, he might need more than will power to flush it down.

In the seven games he has played entering Wednesday's showdown, Anthony is averaging 16.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game. He is also shhoting 44 percent from the field, 37 percent from deep and 85 percent from the free throw line.
