During the EuroBasket quarterfinals game between Latvia and Slovenia on Wednesday, there was one play that caused the game to be slightly delayed, and forced the referees to slap technical fouls on the two players involved.

New York Knicks big man Kristaps Porzingis and former NBA player Anthony Randolph’s arms got entangled following a rebounding battle. When the Slovenian forward tried to get loose, he almost dragged Porzingis and risked him getting hurt. It resulted to a confrontation, where their teammates had to quickly separate them before things got out of hand.

The 7-foot 3 Latvian international broke his silence after the game, and spoke about the incident. He accused Randolph of playing dirty all game, and also added that he was also trash-talking, according to Eurohoops.net.

“He was playing dirty from the beginning. He was trash talking. What happened in the end was natural,” Porzingis said.

Despite his lanky frame, Porzingis has established himself as a tough player in the NBA, who is not afraid to go up against some of the best big men in the league today. Even with his lack of heft, he more than makes up for it with his impressive and unique skill set, which allows to be effective inside the court. However, he has also shown this offseason that he has put in a lot of work in the gym, as he has bulked up and appears to be in very good shape.

Slovenia won the game 103-97 and eliminated Porzingis and company from a podium finish. They have now set up a showdown against the tournament’s defending champions, Spain, who remains undefeated in this year’s competition. Randolph has not responded to the accusations made against him yet, but it can be expected that he will also give his side about it soon.
