New York Knicks star Julius Randle got into an altercation with Knicks video coordinator Scott King during Saturday night's overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, with the video of the drama going viral. In the video, Randle can be seen blowing off King by slapping his laptop.

Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau has now addressed the matter, delivering an absolutely golden quote in the process:

“Computers are part of the NBA.” Okay then!

While this definitely was a “heat of the moment” bit of frustration, it continues a season full of frustration for Randle and the Knicks. After the lefty earned All-NBA honors last season while leading New York to the playoffs, he has regressed mightily for a disappointing team.

The Knicks' overtime loss to the Lakers dropped them to 24-29 on the season, which has them out of the play-in picture and in 12th place, a game behind the 10th-seeded Atlanta Hawks and a half-game behind the No. 11 Washington Wizards. Randle himself actually had one of his better games, posting 32 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists, but it wasn't enough to beat Los Angeles.

Randle is averaging 18.7 points, 10.0 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 35.3 minutes per game in 2021-22. While those numbers look pretty solid, the problem is he's shooting just 41.6% from the field and 30.6% from 3-point range. This comes after he shot a career-high 41.1% from deep last season, and it's a big reason why his scoring average has dipped from a career-high 24.1 points per game.

The Knicks star must get his act together if the team is going to bounce back. There have been some trade rumors surrounding Randle, though it still seems unlikely he gets dealt ahead of Thursday's deadline.
