The New York Knicks have the No. 19 and 21 picks in the 2021 NBA Draft, and they've been rumored to be in trade discussions for a while now. The Knicks would like to move up in the draft, but they're also apparently talking to the Orlando Magic about a trade for swingman Terrence Ross, according to The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor.
The Magic are in rebuild mode after trading away Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier this past season. It's only natural for Ross to be the next veteran to be on the move. Orlando getting one of those first-round picks would be a fair haul for the 30-year-old, who has two years and $24 million left on his deal.

The Knicks just rode one of the best defenses in the NBA to a surprise playoff appearance, but their lack of offensive firepower showed up in their first-round series loss to the Atlanta Hawks. Ross has always been known for his ability to get buckets in a hurry off the bench.
The 6-foot-6 swingman just averaged a career-high 15.6 points in 46 games in 2020-21. Ross isn't the most efficient player, as evidenced by his career 41.9% shooting from the field and 54.0% true shooting mark, but he can still provide a spark with his bench scoring. He's a career 36.7% shooter on 3-pointers.
New York is primed to make some moves this offseason thanks to an abundance of cap space. Adding a player like Ross would be a nice start to get things going.
