Kyrie Irving's situation with the Brooklyn Nets, like it has been for the past three seasons, is quite complicated. Throughout his time in Brooklyn, Irving has failed to play in a majority of games and has been the source of much turmoil surrounding the team. He further shocked the world after accepting his player option and tacking on one more year to his Nets deal.

However, since news broke of star teammate Kevin Durant requesting a trade, it is expected that Irving will be dealt as well. There is not much out there on where Irving will land, but there has been reported interest from Irving's camp to reunite with LeBron James in Los Angeles. A throwback clip featuring Irving praising Lakers' big Anthony Davis turned the heat all the way up on the rumors:

“It's not too many times that a guy can go through a 8-10 inch growth spurt and then treat the rest of us like we're playing on a little rim,” Irving said in 2018. “He does a lot of things that aren't natural to a big… but I think he uses it to his advantage very well.”

This resurfaced quote has made the rounds and makes it obvious Irving admires AD's playstyle. However, the video resurfacing now has put Lakers fans into a frenzy. Some are demanding the deal be done immediately, while others claim they can't trust Irving.

A combination of James, Irving and Davis would arguably be the best on-paper trio in the NBA. The three players are some of, if not the most skilled and physically talented at their respective positions. The only struggle will be keeping them on the floor.
