After news broke out that the New York Knicks are going to waive Mindaugas Kuzminskas to make room for the return of Joakim Noah, there are already some teams reportedly interested in acquiring his services, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post.

The Lithuanian international forward will be up for grabs once he clears waivers, and the Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Lakers, and Chicago Bulls have emerged as possible landing spots for him in the coming days. With all three teams having the need to bolster their forward rotation, Kuzminskas figures to be an intriguing addition to any of them.

Standing at 6-foot-9, Kuzminskas has the ability to play both forward spots, and could also serve as a floor-spacer, with his efficient shooting from the perimeter, stretching as far as beyond the 3-point line. His potential signing with any of the three aforementioned teams will allow him to resurrect his career, and prove that he belongs in the NBA.

Mindaugas Kuzminskas appeared in 68 games for the Knicks last season, and became a regular fixture in the rotation of Jeff Hornacek. His averages of 6.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 14.9 minutes per game may seem pedestrian, but he has shown glimpses of his true potential, and his energy on the court could be something that the Hawks, Lakers, and Bulls would enjoy having when one of them successfully adds him to their fold.
