Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard is in the twilight of his NBA career. However, it would be unwise to forget just how dominant Howard was in his prime. That's how Howard feels after being snubbed in the NBA's 75th anniversary team. The Lakers center has a message for those who forgot how dominant he was.

That is so disrespectful to Dwight Howard. Only good for a couple years? How about, as the Lakers center points out, a run of eight straight All-Star games? Five-time All-Defense first team? Three-time NBA defensive Player of the Year, anyone?

Oh, and Howard helped take the Orlando Magic to the NBA Finals in the 2009-10 season, defeating teams such as the Boston Celtics, with their Big 3, and the Cleveland Cavaliers, led by LeBron James. That is no small feat.

Not to mention the various slam dunks and vicious blocked shots that Howard became known for in his prime. Howard was one of, if not the most, feared defender in the NBA for a long period of time.

Certainly, longer than a couple of years. So, it's perfectly understandable why Dwight Howard went full-blown sarcasm on people doubting how long his run of dominance lasted.

Even if Howard is on the back end of his career with the Lakers, he still deserves some respect for just how dominant a center he was in his prime.
