Avery Bradley is enthused by the prospect of sharing the court with LeBron James and Anthony Davis upon signing with the Los Angeles Lakers, admitting both players played a large part in his decision to sign with the team and noting he will take some teachings from both All-Star-caliber players heading into next season:

“LeBron is the best player in the world and Anthony Davis is the best player at his position,” said Bradley, according to Harrison Faigen of Silver Screen & Roll. “I'm gonna be able to learn a lot from those guys.”

Bradley has had an up-and-down stretch ever since being traded for Marcus Morris in 2017 in the wake of the Kyrie Irving trade, thrust into a Detroit Pistons lineup with no consistent direction and later traded to the LA Clippers, where he struggled.

After being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies before the deadline, his 14 games there (all starts) gave some sense of hope, as he nearly matched his career high in scoring with 16.1 points per game, becoming an important part of the offense.

The Lakers are hoping Bradley can pick up where he left off and bring that same firepower, along with the defensive discipline that made him such a valuable cog in Beantown.

If he can do so, he will have no problems carving out some playing time behind Danny Green, especially if Kentavious Caldwell-Pope continues to underperform, as he did last season.
