After the Los Angeles Lakers selected Brandon Ingram with the second overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, they have high hopes for him. Through four games of the 2017-18 NBA season, he is averaging 15.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in 32.8 minutes.

In a double-double performance against the Washington Wizards, Kelly Oubre started trash talking Ingram, which makes him play better according to head coach Luke Walton. As the Lakers prepare against the Toronto Raptors, the second-year forward reveals the one player who can get under his skin according to Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints:

Throughout Corey Brewer's career, he has established himself as a player teammates love, but opponents hate. For one of the youngest teams in the league, Brewer provides veteran leadership and can help Ingram's development.

After pressing during the preseason, it appears Ingram is getting more comfortable just playing the game. While there are extremely high expectations from President of Basketball Operations Magic Johnson, he is starting to reap the rewards of the hard work he put in during the offseason.

As it is no secret the Lakers are creating the necessary cap space to sign two max contract players, the hope is Ingram will show his All-Star potential in his sophomore season. If Ingram and Lonzo Ball are able to do so, it will mark an interesting offseason for Los Angeles.
