Los Angeles Lakers veteran swingman Danny Green revealed some interesting details about head coach Frank Vogel. According to Green, Vogel can be “too nice” sometimes and he wants to head coach to be a little tougher on him.

Speaking on The Green Room, Green wanted more honesty and some sort of challenge from Vogel.

“I like Frank, but Frank is just too nice sometimes,” Green said on Inside the Green Room, as transcribed by heavy. I’m not saying I wish he would be more hard on me, but there are times where he could be honest a little bit more, or give me more of a task, more of a challenge so that I could step up to the challenge.”

However, this doesn't necessarily mean that Vogel is a terrible head coach. After all, Vogel has utilized the oozing talent of the Lakers, transforming them into one of the league's best. Though Vogel might be too kind for Green's liking, the same isn't true of LeBron James.

“But he’s a great coach,” Green said. “I have great teammates who are encouraging. But Bron, Bron will challenge you. And some of our guys will challenge us, and we need that. Just to have that edge, that little bit of fight in us. Just challenge me sometimes. It’s okay to do that.”

Be as it may, Vogel has done a splendid job as the Lakers head coach. Green may not be used to his style, but it has helped the Lakers turn into a legitimate title contender. At the end of the day, that's all that matters.
