Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was lining up for a 3-point shot in the corner against the Houston Rockets when teammate Dennis Schroder bet him he wouldn't make it.

James took the bet while he was still shooting the ball, and he channeled his inner Stephen Curry by looking over at Schroder as the ball was still in the air before it splashed through the hoop.

After the game, Schroder disclosed how much was on the line:

“I told him to bet a Benjamin on it, so he shot it,” he said, via ESPN's Dave McMenamin. “Shot it and turned around and said, ‘Bet.' Then, it went in. It's just legendary.”

LeBron and the Lakers were able to have a little fun on the floor as they easily cruised past the struggling Rockets. Los Angeles didn't feel any resistance all throughout the game in a commanding 117-100 victory in Houston.

James led the team in scoring with 26 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, while Anthony Davis generated 19 points and 10 rebounds. Schroder, Montrezl Harrell, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope all added 14 points apiece.

The Rockets struggled to keep up with the Lakers from the very start, with the defending champions running out to a 21-point advantage after just one quarter. James Harden continued with his struggles and came out flat with 16 points along with seven rebounds, and then he effectively made his trade request public after the poor effort. John Wall even called Harden out for his mindset amid all the trade rumors.

LeBron James and the Lakers tightened their grip on the top spot of the Western Conference with a 9-3 record, while the Rockets extended their losing skid for a 3-6 tally. The Lakers will aim to carry over their winning momentum as they visit the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.
