Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma has made massive improvements in his game this season, earning a well-deserved compliment from Draymond Green. The Golden State Warriors All-Star credited the sweet-shooting forward, claiming Kuz now understands how to play winning basketball.

Kyle Kuzma and the Lakers took care of business against the Denver Nuggets, 114-93, at Staples Center on Thursday. It seems Draymond Green tuned in on that match and praised the 25-year-old shooter for becoming a more well-rounded player in his fourth season with the Purple and Gold.

In 25 minutes against the Nuggets, Kuz pitched in 11 points of 4-for-9 shooting from the field and 2-of-5 from distance. But his impact across the floor was pretty evident for the Lakers, as he also tallied three rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks.

The Flint, Michigan, native has always been lauded for his ability to put up buckets. However, he didn't offer much outside of scoring, earning him the ire of some pundits over the years. Kuz's name was even the subject of plenty of Lakers trade rumors before that extension. He definitely heard the noise and has put in the work for the defending champs this year.

Kuzma's scoring has actually regressed a bit this season. He is recording just 9.4 points prior to Thursday's game versus Denver. However, he is shooting at a much higher-rate from deep (38.1 percent) for the Lakers, while his improved defense and rebounding have allowed head coach Frank Vogel to utilize him on the floor much better.

Draymond Green, meanwhile, also offered praise to two other Lakers players, LeBron James and Talen Horton-Tucker.
