Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green had some high praise for Lakers big man Anthony Davis.

Per NBA insider Ramona Shelbourne, Green claimed that he would've voted for Davis to win Defensive Player of the Year at one point:

This is high praise coming from Draymond Green. The NBA equivalent of a Swiss army knife has racked up a Defensive Player of the Year award as well as five appearances on the All-Defensive teams due to his ability to guard every position and supernatural basketball IQ. Even in an off-year for Green in which nearly all of his regular-season numbers were down, he managed to make the All-Defensive second team.

Davis is not a shabby defender himself. While he has only made an All-Defensive team three times, he has also led the league in blocks three times. He has yet to win a Defensive Player of the Year award.

This year might be the year for Davis. He is now playing in Los Angeles, under the bright L.A. spotlight. IT could be a contract year for the big man if he chooses to opt-out of his contract next season. Additionally, he is legitimately playing for a championship for the first time in his career.

Expect Davis to be a force on both sides of the court this season as he looks to push the Lakers to their first playoff appearance in six years and first championship in nine.
