Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel has revealed what type of impact being inside the bubble has had on his team. One would think that playing in an single, isolated location would lessen the burden of those late road games, but according to Vogel, that just isn't the case.

The first-year Lakers coach explained why it's pretty much the same as if they were in “normal” circumstances, traveling from city to city:

“You just remove that element of being in the air, arriving late at night,” Vogel said, via Paul Kasabian of Bleacher Report.

“But our 9 o'clock starts, it feels like we're playing and traveling during the season,” Vogel said. “It's because you're getting back to the hotel very late, you're up late.”

Vogel also went into detail with regards to his post-game routine:

“I watch film until I fall asleep, which is typically not before 3,” Vogel said. “But typically not after 5. I'd say before 3 and 4 is when I typically go to bed after a 9 o'clock game.”

As it turns out, this late-night schedule isn't exclusive for coaches. Lakers superstar LeBron James also shared how his post-game regimen extends to late in the evening:

“I get right to work right after the game,” James said. “Win, lose or draw, I start my treatment already in the locker room; when I get back to the hotel, I'm going to do some more. Be up pretty late tonight.”

What one cannot factor out, however, is the fatigue brought about by having to travel several times a week. Inside the bubble, teams are no longer required to spend those long nights on the team plane or bus as they travel for their next game. Surely, this is one of the biggest advantages of playing inside the campus.
