Former NBA player Etan Thomas shared on Twitter that his wife recently participated in a conference call with hundreds of other NBA wives. According to Thomas, the ladies discussed how they can support Kobe Bryant's now-widow Vanessa Bryant through this extremely difficult time.

NBA players often say that the NBA is a brotherhood, a fraternity. Perhaps, a more fitting one is the NBA is a family.

Obviously, Vanessa needs all the support she can get right now as she embarks on this difficult time and new journey without her two constants. And this is absolutely an amazing gesture coming from other NBA wives.

After Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna's untimely passing in a fatal helicopter crash that also took the lives of seven others on Sunday morning, many instantly became worried about Vanessa's well-being.

The entire world is still obviously grieving the loss of the Los Angeles Lakers legend and the childhood hero of many people all over the globe. But it is hard to imagine the amount of pain that Vanessa and the rest of her family is going through right now.

Vanessa spent every day of her life for the past 20 years with Kobe and 13 years with her second child Gigi. And on Sunday morning, all of that drastically changed.

Let us continue to pray for Vanessa, the entire Bryant family, and the rest of the families involved in this tragic accident, that they will be able to power through this unthinkably difficult time in their lives.
