Texas Tech guard Jarrett Culver believes he can help the Los Angeles Lakers with his ‘elite' skills. However, more than that, he thinks he will thrive playing alongside superstar forward LeBron James.

The Lakers have the fourth overall pick in this year's draft, and one of the prospects that they are closely looking at is Culver. He recently had his pre-draft workout with the team, and during his interview, the 20-year-old highly-rated prospect said that he will have no problems playing with LeBron with his defense.

“Being a two-way player. Being able to operate with LeBron. I know he’s going to have the ball a lot. And being able to play defense, I feel like I can adjust to defense in the league very well, guard guys, and just playmaking.”

At 6-foot-6, Culver is one of the tallest guards in this year's draft class. Most analysts believe that he's the perfect fit for the Lakers because of his ability to knock down wide open shots. The Purple and Gold are planning to surround LeBron with shooters, which means that Culver could benefit a lot from this type of system as well.

Culver can also be a facilitator when needed, which should ease the workload and pressure on Lonzo Ball to constantly create openings and make plays for his teammates.

Nonetheless, one of the most underrated aspects of Culver's game is his defense. During his tenure with Texas Tech, he has proven that he can guard multiple positions, which should give him an advantage in the modern day NBA that emphasizes position-less basketball.

The Lakers will still try to invite other prospects to workouts, but at this point, Culver seems to be the wisest choice.
