Los Angeles Lakers assistant coach Jason Kidd jokes he tries to stay away from star LeBron James on Tuesdays because he's “very busy making those tacos.”
As we all know, Tuesday is “Taco Tuesday” for LeBron.
“I don't try and bother him. This is their time off,” Kidd told ESPN. “I know he's shooting a movie right now with Space Jam 2. And then I try and stay away from him on Tuesdays because Tuesday is taco Tuesday and he's very, very, very busy making those tacos.”
Every Tuesday, LeBron James goes on Instagram and posts a video of him saying taco Tuesday while eating tacos. Because it's LeBron, the weekly videos go viral all the time.
A few weeks ago, James was on the set of Space Jam 2 and still celebrated taco Tuesday. The Lakers superstar knows how to market himself better than anyone in the NBA.
The Lakers hired Jason Kidd this summer to be one of Frank Vogel's lead assistants. Kidd and LeBron have a very close relationship, as they were on Team USA together back in the day.
With All-Star big man Anthony Davis in the fold next to James, the Lakers are title contenders for the first time in years.
