The Los Angeles Lakers are fresh off of a miserable season. Their struggles have placed pressure on ownership and the front office to make some moves in order to get the Lakers back into contention. But Lakers owner Jeanie Buss sent out an emotional Tweet late Sunday night referencing Kobe Bryant. Perhaps the stress of rebuilding the team has her missing one of the Lakers' all-time greats.

I miss KB. He would understand and explain everything that I’m not allowed to. Honestly he was the greatest Laker ever. He understood team over self. Meaning your rewards would come if you valued team goals over your own then everything would fall into place. All can reply.

This could be taken as a shot at the current Lakers, but it also might just be Jeanie Buss simply missing Kobe Bryant. I would guess the majority of Lakers fans find themselves missing Kobe on an everyday basis. Nonetheless, the message behind her post could be taken as an indirect shot at players on the current team.

The Lakers are in the process of re-tooling following last season's disaster. LA expects to contend with LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the charge. However, Russell Westbrook's future is unclear with the team. There were early offseason reports in reference to interest from the Charlotte Hornets. And now Westbrook is being linked to the Brooklyn Nets in a potential Kyrie Irving trade.

But it is unclear as of now if LA will be able to deal Russell Westbrook away this offseason. Jeanie Buss and the Lakers are doing all they can to help LA turn things around.
