Not only did Los Angeles Lakers rising star power forward Julius Randle dominate the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night en route to a 127-113 win, but he did it in front of two of his old teammates in current Cavs shooting guard Jordan Clarkson and power forward Larry Nance Jr.

After the Lakers' victory, Randle talked to ClutchPoints' own Dan Duangdao about the experience he had playing against Clarkson and Nance Jr. with their new team.

“It was weird, but it was fun,” Randle said. “Took me back to practice days. Just talking trash and going at each other.”

The Cavs pretty much had no answer for Randle the entire night as he lit them up on the stat sheet. At the end of the night, Randle finished with a career-high 36 points on 14-of-18 shooting, 14 rebounds, seven assists, two blocked shots and one steal in 38 minutes of action. He was also the first Lakers player to put up numbers like that since legendary shooting guard Kobe Bryant back in March of 2008.

Via an article written by Greg Beacham of the Associated Press:

“We're just connecting at both ends, and we're able to really establish the way that we want to play,” Randle said. “It's been great.”

As for Julius Randle's old Lakers teammates, Nance Jr. had himself a really solid game as a starter for the Cavaliers and racked up 16 points (8-of-12 from the field) and eight rebounds in 26 minutes.

Clarkson, on the other hand, did not have himself a very productive game against his former team and had just four points on 1-of-8 shooting from the floor.
