Los Angeles Lakers icon Kareem Abdul-Jabbar believes LeBron James deserves to be on the list of Lakers greats.

James took to Instagram and posted a picture of him, Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson and Shaquille O'Neal and said the Lakers have the best starting lineup of all-time. Some Laker fans commented on the picture saying LeBron has to win a title first to enter that category.

Abdul-Jabbar, the greatest scorer in NBA history, says LeBron has already showed Laker fans and the NBA world he's one of the most complete players of all-time.

“He’s already shown he’s still the complete player that the Lakers wanted so I don’t think he needs to worry about that,” Abdul-Jabbar said, via Arash Markazi of the Los Angeles Times. “They just needed to put the right pieces in place around him. You can’t win a world championship with just one elite player. You need some help and I think he has that now.

“If he plays well and the team is contending and in the playoffs and advancing late in the playoffs, that should be enough. He doesn’t have anything to prove to anyone, but Lakers fans are still hungry and that’s a good sign. They want to win and they want to support the team.”

LeBron James averaged 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.3 assists in his first season with the Lakers. The Purple and Gold likely make the playoffs last season if James doesn't suffer that hamstring injury on Christmas Day against the Golden State Warriors which sidelined him for 17 consecutive games.

The Lakers acquired Anthony Davis this summer, giving LeBron the sidekick he needs to win a title. Though there's been a lot of fans of the LakeShow who haven't accepted James as one of their own because of their loyalty to Kobe, once The King brings that title back to Los Angeles, he'll be loved everywhere in Los Angeles.
