When the Minnesota Timberwolves were dominating the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, Karl-Anthony Towns made sure to let LeBron James hear it. According to the All-Star big man, though, he didn’t start it and just handled what he was getting.

In his latest podcast, Towns opened up about trash talking James midway through the fourth quarter of their 124-104 blowout win. The Timberwolves star was caught on camera calling the Lakers leader a “b*tch a*s n*gga”as he flexed and showed his dominance.

When asked about it, Karl-Anthony Towns said that “people was talking sh*t on the sideline,” so he “handled it.”

True enough, what better way to respond to all the trash talking than talking trash as well but backing it up with action? Towns certainly did that and more, as he effectively shut down all the noise coming from the Purple and Gold.

Big KAT finished with 30 points and eight rebounds in the contest. He went 8-of-15 from the field and made life hard for LA in the painted area, as LeBron James and company kept fouling him. The 3-point shooting champ finished 13-of-13 from the free-throw line.

Towns is definitely playing better than ever, and his brilliant play has the Timberwolves contending for a playoff spot. With that said, as the Lakers learned the hard way, it’s better not to talk trash to Towns if they cannot back it up.
