Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant shared his thoughts on the NBA offseason, which featured tons of player movements that created several formidable star duos.

Kobe, however, particularly singled out Kevin Durant's injury as one key event that changed the landscape of the NBA.

To recall, Kevin Durant suffered an Achilles tear in the NBA Finals. The injury left a big void in the Golden State Warriors roster and as expected, they succumbed to a hungry Toronto Raptors squad in six games.

It put an end to the Warriors dynasty, with Durant eventually leaving in the offseason to join the Brooklyn Nets. Other star players, meanwhile, were quick to decide on where to head next and who to team up with.

“The place where the league is at right now is awesome,” Bryant said, per Arash Markazi of the Los Angeles Times. “K.D.’s injury literally changed the landscape of the game, and now you have a lot of duos that are in different places. There are a lot of great story lines to follow and there are a lot of questions you don’t know the answers to, which creates an interesting season. It’s like watching a good film. You don’t know what’s going to happen, but it’s a hell of a time for L.A.”

Bryant, of course, is referring to the Lakers and the Clippers.

In the Purple and Gold, they have LeBron James and Anthony Davis at the helm with a group of capable veterans surrounding them. Meanwhile, the Clippers have Kawhi Leonard and Paul George surrounded by probably the deepest team in the NBA.

Nonetheless, that's just two of the 30 teams in the league. Save those who have voluntarily pressed the reset button, the rest of the teams are capable of competing for the playoffs and, potentially, for the title.
