Once pro athletes retire, a lot of them end up going into the booth or studio. Tony Romo is quickly on his way to becoming one of the better analysts of football, and Charles Barkley and Shaq are a pretty good duo on TNT's “Inside The NBA.”

But for Kobe Bryant, he is enjoying retirement and although he is getting himself in some other endeavors, being an NBA analyst is not one that he sees in his future.

Although Bryant is getting himself involved in being an analyst of the game, he is doing it in a different way than Barkley and Shaq.

For those two guys, they try to be funny with their analyst and it is more opinion based. With Bryant, his new show “Detail” that will appear on the ESPN app is all about breaking down film and studying the game.

“I felt like it's important for the next generation to learn how to watch film, how to study the game,” Bryant said on a conference call Wednesday. “And I felt like that if this show was around when I was 10 years old, 11 years old, I would have gained so much value from it that by the time I'm 22, 25 my knowledge of the game would be at a much, much higher level.”

Bryant wants to help basketball fans learn what he sees and give the average fan a deeper understanding of the game, something that Barkley and Shaq don't always do.
