The Los Angeles Lakers host the Phoenix Suns on Sunday, and the team could be very shorthanded. Superstar small forward LeBron James is still out with the groin injury he suffered on Christmas Day against the Golden State Warriors, while second-year swingman Kyle Kuzma is questionable to play.

Kyle Kuzma is reportedly dealing with a hip strain. He did not practice on Saturday. The 23-year-old didn't move that well on Thursday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Head coach Luke Walton and some of Kuzma's teammates noticed that the scoring forward was limping throughout the game.

In 47 games this season for the Lakers, Kuzma is averaging 19.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 30.3 percent from beyond the arc.

As for LeBron James, it has now been more than a month since the four-time MVP got hurt in Golden State. The Lakers initially said James was going to be day-to-day. Clearly, James' injury is worse than what the team is portraying it to be.

In his first season in Los Angeles, LeBron James is averaging 27.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 7.1 assists. The King is shooting 51.8 percent overall, 35.6 percent from the 3-point line and 68.2 percent from the free-throw line.

The Lakers, who are 25-24 on the season, have gone 5-10 during LeBron James' absence.
