Larry Nance Jr. turned another page in his career this summer after the Cleveland Cavaliers traded him to the Portland Trail Blazers. While the 28-year-old was reportedly gracious in his exit from the Cavs, Nance could not help but take a dig at his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers, on his way out.

Nance reportedly went to great lengths to thank the Cavs organization for his time in Cleveland. Apparently, the 6-foot-7 big man still has a bit of ill will against the Lakers, and he just had to include this bit in his message of appreciation for the Cavs brass (h/t Evan Dammarell of SB Nation):

Nance played the first two and a half seasons of his career with the Lakers after they drafted him 27th overall in 2015. It was in Hollywood where Nance first made a name for himself, but apparently, he believes that he was stuck in a dire situation in LA.

In 2018, the Lakers sent him to the Cavs via trade, and this turned out to be a career-defining move for Nance. Apparently, he still feels to this day that Cleveland did him a huge favor by “rescuing” him from the Lakers. That's how poorly he thought of his situation with his former squad.

Nance has nothing but fond memories with the Cavs now that he makes his way to a new team. Clearly, though, the same cannot be said about his feelings for the Lakers.
