It's pretty shocking, considering that Westbrook's name has popped up in several rumors thus far in the offseason. It's also been reported that the star guard and the Lakers are “headed for an inevitable divorce.”
Publicly, of course, it's been a different story. New head coach Darvin Ham has spoken at length about the new role he has for Westbrook and how he plans to get the guard to thrive alongside James and Davis.
Could the trio be looking to make things work next season? It would certainly be an about-face from the consistent rumors that have popped up in Laker land.
It will be interesting to see what comes of this James-Davis-Westbrook meeting.
