LeBron James lifted the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday, as he led his side to a hard-fought 125-120 victory against the struggling Golden State Warriors. LeBron and company actually had a tougher time on the evening than what most would have expected, facing a short-handed Dubs side.

The Warriors just wouldn't let up, and it would take a LeBron dagger trey in the dying seconds of the ballgame to secure the victory. Ironically, James' crucial 3-pointer on Saturday looked eerily similar to a dagger triple he hit also against Golden State some six years ago.

The narratives could not have been more different, but nevertheless, it's hard to deny that both shots looked very much alike. As it seems, some things just don't change, and LeBron's knack for beating the Warriors is one of them.

James finished with 22 points (7-of-17 from the field, 5-of-6 from the line), three 3-pointers, eight rebounds, 11 assists, a steal, and uncharacteristically, seven turnovers in 34 minutes of play.

LeBron and company foiled the debut of Golden State's new recruit, Andrew Wiggins, who actually had quite a ballgame in his first showing in a Warriors uniform. The former first overall pick, who just recently joined the Warriors in exchange for D'Angelo Russell, logged 24 points (on 8-of-12 shooting), three 3-pointers, two rebounds, three assists, five steals, and a block in 31 minutes of action.

This now makes it three wins for the Lakers in their last four games. They will be off on Sunday, but will return to action on Monday to take on the Phoenix Suns in the Staples Center.
