The Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Memphis Grizzlies Sunday night in a battle of two teams moving in the right direction. The Lakers after struggling for much of the year, are in the middle of a four-game winning streak. Two of the four wins the Lakers scored over 130 points with an average margin of victory 16 points.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies are one of the biggest surprise teams this NBA season. They entered Sunday's game in Los Angeles on an eight-game winning streak of their own. They are 27-14, good enough for 4th in the Western Conference.

During the 2nd quarter, Lakers superstar LeBron James and Grizzlies young rising star Desmond Bane appeared to exchange some heated words.

Bane got into the lane and sank the layin, plus the foul. On the way to the line, James and Bane rubbed against one another. James took exception and appeared to shove Bane, causing the two players to exchange words. Cooler heads would prevail.

The Grizzlies took a 65-52 lead into halftime. LeBron James leads all scorers with 23 points on 9 for 13 shooting. But the Lakers do not have any other players in double figures. The rest of the team is shooting 11 for 37 from the field.

Meanwhile, Bane 13 points on five for eight shooting. The Grizzlies have two other players in double figures, neither of which are superstar Ja Morant. Morant has been on an absolute tear lately. So one would expect him to get going offensively in the 2nd half, making it that much more difficult for the Lakers to overcome the deficit.
