We all knew Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James wouldn't get suspended for breaking the league's health and safety protocols. After all, this is the King and frankly, the basketball world would have been in an absolute uproar if Adam Silver decided differently.

NBA legend and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley had a similar way of seeing it. His response to LeBron James ducking a possible suspension was hilarious and brutally honest, per Yahoo Sports.

As Barkley said, the NBA “doesn't have the balls” to do sideline James. This is interesting though because Caris LeVert was in a similar situation and he was put in protocols for 10-14 days.

LeBron James was in this mess in the first place for attending an un-masked event earlier this week for a tequila that he has a stake in. The Lakers star was seen hanging out with Drake and Michael B. Jordan, but the league said that the nature of the event didn't pose a threat to the spread of COVID-19. Sounds like nonsense, doesn't it?

Nevertheless, as unfair as it may seem to other players throughout the Association who had to do their time in the league protocols, this doesn't come as a surprise.

LeBron James is the face of basketball and Adam Silver was never going to actually suspend him. Not to mention, the Lakers would be screwed without him against the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs.

Charles Barkley, you hit the nail on the head. The King's pursuit of another title lives on.
