The Los Angeles Lakers just lost another game on Wednesday and it could not have come in a more disheartening way. Even LeBron James himself seemed like he wanted to give up on this team at one particular point in LA's overtime loss to the Houston Rockets.
This was a tight contest throughout and unsurprisingly, the game required an extra period to decide a winner. It was in overtime, however, when the Lakers completely fell apart. They allowed the Rockets to go on a 13-0 run to start OT and there was just no coming back from there. Houston took the victory at home, 139-130.
During this torrid run by the Rockets, LeBron inadvertently revealed just how fed up he is with all this. After dishing out a perfect pass to Russell Westbrook, the Lakers guard ended up missing a wide-open layup. James' reaction says it all (h/t Rob Perez on Twitter):
If only we could read what was on LeBron's mind after seeing Russ blow that layup. James didn't even bother getting back on defense before it was too late. He eventually jogged back to the other side of the court only to watch Eric Gordon drain a wide-open triple to cap off Houston's blistering 13-0 run.
There are no more words left to describe LA's recent run, with this team losing all but one of its seven games since after the All-Star break. Looks like LeBron is feeling the same way as well at this point.
