After a second consecutive win for his team at All-Star Weekend, LeBron James is ready to go back and tackle the task at hand for his Los Angeles Lakers — making the playoffs.

The purple and gold have a tough but not impossible road ahead, three games back of the hallway rival LA Clippers for the eighth and last spot in the Western Conference.

“I feel great,” James said, according to Jeff Zillgitt of USA TODAY Sports. “Looking forward to the second half of the season. Looking forward to seeing what we can do to get back in this playoff race. That's my only mindset. That's the only thing that's going to happen in my mental space for these next two months, pretty much on how I can get this team playing the type of level of basketball we were playing before my injury.”

The Lakers have only 25 games left in the season and the ninth-toughest schedule ahead, according to Tankathon, making this a tricky proposition for a team that has shown ample flaws throughout the first 57 games of the 2018-19 campaign.

While James has been known to singlehandedly take teams to the playoffs, the competition will be tougher in the West, especially after teams have upgraded their roster before the trade deadline.

The Sacramento Kings have positioned themselves as a big threat to take the eighth spot, only a game behind the hollowed-out Clippers for that last playoff slot.
