Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James doesn't need to be in an actual game to be clutch.
On Tuesday, with Thursday's season opener against the Portland Trail Blazers around the corner, James canned an off-balance long-range bomb to tie the game in a scrimmage .

Last season, James led all players (who played more than one game) with 4.4 points per game in the “clutch,” defined as the last five minutes of half in a game with a five point (or less) differential. Further, he shot 55.8 percent from the field in the clutch (per NBA Advanced Stats).
The face of the NBA, James has long been one of the most clutch performers in the league. It didn't just start when he was with the Miami Heat (2010-11 to 2013-14), as James infamously scored the final 25 points for the Cleveland Cavaliers when they faced the Detroit Pistons in Game 5 of the 2007 Eastern Conference Finals. The Cavaliers would end up facing the San Antonio Spurs in their first NBA Finals series in franchise history on the back of that all-time great performance.
